Think it.         It's written.

Dictate your research at the speed of thought — citations you can trust, judgment that stays yours.

Our Belief

Writing in the AI era isn't handing over the pen

A paper is an extension of your scientific judgment, not a content-generation outsourcing job. We believe in a better way to hold the pen together.

Human in the steer

AI takes the keys, you take the wheel. Every paragraph reflects your judgment, not the model's guess.

Keep the thought flowing

Dictate as long as you need. Speak in the language of science, not the language of typing.

Verifiable by default

Every citation traceable to a real paper via CrossRef. No hallucinations. Trust is non-negotiable.

Collaboration, not delegation

PubCat removes friction so you can engage deeper with your work, not check out further.

Why PubCat

Writing papers shouldn't be this painful

It's the hardest part of research, and it shouldn't be.

Researcher overwhelmed by stacked papers and reference books
The Old Way
3 weeks writing the characterization section
Endless tweaking of academic phrasing
Lab reports collecting dust as unused PDFs
Researcher relaxed, speaking into a microphone while paper forms on screen
The PubCat Way
Talk for 3 minutes — the Agent drafts the section
Casual speech becomes formal academic English
Your raw data weaves itself into the paper
How it works

Write with an Agent — not a black box

PubCat isn't a one-shot generator. You hold an ongoing conversation with an Agent that reads your data, drafts sections, looks up citations, and inserts figures — every step visible, every step yours to change.

Hand dragging XRD spectra and SEM images toward a glowing portal
01
Hand it your materials

Upload XRD / SEM / CSV / prior PDFs, or just start talking. The Agent builds a project folder and indexes every source.

Speech bubbles transforming into formatted paragraphs and citations
02
Talk it through

"Draft the Results." "Add an XRD figure here." Every reply is a visible tool call — drafting, citing, inserting figures.

Review & ship

Edit any block by hand or ask the Agent to revise. Export a submission-ready, full-length manuscript — not just an abstract.

Agent-Ready CLI

One command to install. One command to write.

Give any AI agent the power to write papers. Install the CLI, and Claude Code, Cursor, or your own agent can talk to PubCat directly from the terminal.

3. Results and Discussion

The X-ray diffraction patterns of the ZnO nanowires revealed a highly crystalline wurtzite structure (JCPDS 36-1451). The prominent (002) peak indicates preferential growth along the c-axis, consistent with the vertical alignment observed in SEM micrographs.

FAQ

Frequently asked

Is PubCat only for materials science?
Currently optimized for materials characterization papers (XRD, SEM, XPS, TEM, Raman, etc). Expanding to other fields soon.
Where does my data live?
Your project files stay scoped to your account. We never train on your data, and self-hosted deployments are available for labs.
How accurate is the generated text?
The Agent drafts from real sources you provide and verified citations from CrossRef. Always review the output — it's a writing partner, not a replacement for your scientific judgment.
Can I export to journal templates?
Yes. PubCat exports to journal-style PDFs via Typst, plus Word and Markdown. More publisher templates ship regularly.
Are citations real?
Yes — every reference is verified against CrossRef and carries a real DOI. Hallucinated citations are a non-starter for us.
